Tomorrow moring at Seminary Church we are celebrating Kid's Club Sunday! Join us as we see a video of the kids, hear a report about Kid's Club 2008-2009, and sing some Kid's CLub songs! Should be a great time together as we also take a look at what it means to be a church filled with "Passionate Worship."
Tonight is the big concert at St. Matt's in South Bend. It will be awesome! I've siad this in my last blog, but I'm going to say it again Mass of the Children by John Rutter is an incredible piece of music. The kids start the mass by singing this:
Awake my soul, and with the sun...... Thy daily duty run; Shake off dull sloth, and joyful rise To pay thy morning sacrifice.
Redeem thy mispent time that's past, live this day as if it 'twere thy last; Improve thy talent with due care; For the great Day thyself prepare. Words by Thomas Kern (1637-1711)
I realize that only the lyrics don't do justice to the beauty of the song and word together, but what beautiful words....oh, if we all could face each day with those words in our hearts and minds.
May you be blessed this day! I'll see you in worship tomorrow morning! Peace, Kathy
