Well, the weather outside has been frightful, but at Seminary Church things have been delightful and challenging! Our new sermon series, "Christianity From the Outside" is challenging us to take a look at the way the majority of our younger folks, the "Mosaics" and "Busters" (16-29 year olds) generations, view the Christian faith. Many of our previous ideas about why our young folks are not attending church are being challenged by the ground breaking research done by the Barna group and the resulting book, "UnChristian, What a New Generation Really Thinks About Christianity......and Why it Matters" by David Kinnaman and Gabe Lyons. Join us tomorrow for the second sermon in the series, "Hypocrisy" as we continue to explore a very important topic. Also, our Seminary praise team is joining us this Sunday! Let's all welcome their smiling faces and enthusiastic response to God's love by their sharing their musical gifts!
I'd like to extend a big thank you to our video and worship team who continue to work very hard to bring us a fantastic worship experience each week. These guys put hours into bringing us video and sound each week! Thanks Mark! Thanks Michael! Thanks Mike! And a big thank you to Steve E. who is now tracking our worship attendance each week and alerting your pastor and caring others about folks who have missed worship three weeks in a row in order for our church to continue to care for one another in significant and loving ways.
I'll see you tomorrow! Peace, Kathy
